How long should a first message be?

Between 60 and 120 words is a good range: long enough to say something specific about her profile, short enough to read in half a minute. End with a single question she can answer in a couple of lines. The first-message guide has side-by-side examples.

Should I copy the same message to several women?

No. A message that could be sent to anyone is easy to recognise and is usually ignored. One specific detail taken from her profile is what makes a message look written for her.

Is it fine to use Google Translate or DeepL?

Yes, for ordinary messages. Both list Russian and Ukrainian among their supported languages, but check each tool’s language list since it changes. Use short plain sentences, avoid idioms, and test important messages by translating them back into English.

What is the round-trip test?

Translate your message into her language, copy the result into a second tool or window, and translate it back into English. If the meaning has changed, rewrite the sentence that changed. It catches the most obvious errors but does not prove the translation is perfect.

Should I write in Russian or in Ukrainian?

Use the language she uses and lists on her profile. They are two different languages. Many Ukrainians prefer to write in Ukrainian, and asking a Ukrainian woman to switch to Russian is a poor start. If you are unsure, ask her which she prefers.

What do “ty” and “vy” mean?

They are the informal singular and the polite or plural forms of “you” in Russian and Ukrainian. English has only one, so a translation tool chooses, and the choice may make her message sound colder or warmer than she meant. When the relationship has developed you can ask which she prefers.

How often should I write?

Match her rhythm. If she writes a paragraph every few days, do not send several messages a day. Agree on a pace in the first weeks and say your time zone whenever you propose a time to talk.

She has not replied for a week. What should I do?

Wait about a week, then send one short, friendly follow-up with no reproach. Do not send a third message. Silence is common on dating platforms and is not a verdict on you.

When should we move to a video call?

There is no required date. A reasonable moment is after a dozen or so real messages, when you both want to hear each other. Propose a short call, offer more than one time with the time zones stated, and let her choose the app.

What if she keeps refusing a video call?

A first refusal can have innocent reasons: shyness, no camera, living arrangements. A pattern of changing excuses over several weeks, especially alongside requests for money or pressure to act quickly, is a warning sign. Offer a voice call, and do not send money before you have met by video.

Is a pay-per-letter platform a scam?

Not by definition. But the platform earns more the longer you keep writing, whether or not you ever meet. Read the price list before you start, set a budget in advance, and be alert to generic or repetitive replies.

Should I ever send money to someone I have not met?

No. A request for money, a gift card or cryptocurrency from someone you have not met in person is the clearest sign of a scheme, whatever reason is given.

Can I tell from a message whether she is interested?

Not reliably, especially through translation. A short or blunt line can be a plain statement and a warm one can be a standard phrase. Look for patterns over weeks and ask in simple words when you are unsure.

Does this site introduce women or publish profiles?

No. It publishes information only. It does not run a dating service, does not list profiles of women and does not take payments for introductions.
